Rwanda Swimming Federation announced the selected team to participate in Olympic games to be held in Tokyo from 23rd July to 8th August 2021

On June 16th 2021, the executive board of Rwanda Swimming Federation announced the selected team to participate in Olympic games to be held in Tokyo from 23rd July to 8th August 2021, the selected swimmers are Eloi Maniraguha and Agahozo Alphonsine. 

Rwanda Swimming Federation (RSF) President Pamela Girimbabazi on her remarks, she said that " We selected the two athletes from the team depending on the high-ranked male and female in the country depending on the FINA qualifying events played by Rwandan athletes and the FINA points obtained from those events where Eloi Maniraguha has 2,639 points in all events and Agahozo Alphonsine has 364 FINA Points.  

Eloi Maniraguha is currently under the FINA Scholarship program in FINA DEVELOPMENT CENTER KAZAN RUSSIA and he joined Agahozo in the training camp of the Olympic team in Golden Tulip Nyamata where they will be departing from Rwanda to Japan on 05^th July 2021. These swimmers will all compete in 50M Freestyle on 30^th July 2021.
